Growing Enterprises with Technology Upgrade (GET-UP) Initiative

While Singapore is moving towards a knowledge-based economy, local industries' continuous innovation and generation of intellectual property influence the growth and competitiveness of the Singapore economy. However, due to the lack of resources, some local small, medium enterprises are unable to capitalize on the opportunities available in the competitive market arena.

The GET-UP initiative is set up to help these local enterprises identify the problems in their business functions and offer a suitable solution through combined effort from the government agencies.

The initiative is spearheaded by Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), together with EDB, IDA, IE Singapore and Spring Singapore.

I²R plays a part in the initiative by, for example, seconding our scientists and engineers to work in the participating local enterprises for a period of time to share their experience or offer technical advice to the individual company at a nominal fee.
