A warm welcome to another issue of @work.

The third quarter of 2007 has been an exciting and busy time for I²R. In the months of August and September, we are pleased to announce that I²R has added not one but two feathers in our cap. The efforts of two research teams were recognized separately in two prestigious awards ceremonies. Catch the news on these two star teams in HotNews.

Our two annual events in September attracted a beehive of attendees. At TechFest’07, I²R’s Open House, visitors got to try their hands on our latest R&D works. The 14th Infocomm Horizons Seminar saw more than 400 participants congregating to hear from experts in Interactive Digital Media (IDM).

In our Technology@work section, we take a walk through the surreal world using our Mixed Reality Technology. Next, see how our Medical Image Recognition and Annotation (MedIRA) project team helps medical clinicians in providing better diagnosis. Finally, read on how our researchers work towards lowering privacy breaches in their project on Privacy Preservation.
